Energy Efficiency

A Warm Welcome, PAS2035 and the Future

By Eveco Solutions

We’re extremely excited to welcome everyone to our brand-new website and fully introduce ourselves! Through our Blogs we’ll be helping to update you on a wide range of things including details around our services, industry news, useful tips and some of our latest work.

With the arrival of PAS2030:2019 and PAS2035, big changes have occurred in the energy efficiency industry. New requirements, new roles and additional steps of compliance have taken everyone some time to get their heads around. While all of the additional steps and requirements are not perfect, we do believe the overall goal of ensuring quality energy efficiency work being carried out across the country by qualified and reliable professionals is an important one which we stand by.

We’ve launched Eveco Solutions to help everyone from the beginning to the end of the process of improving the energy efficiency of homes and buildings. Whether you’re a homeowner, landlord, installer, housing provider, product manufacturer or anything in between then our team is here to help. Below are just some of our main ways of helping customers:

Energy Performance Certificates (EPC)

If you’re selling a domestic property, renting it or the current EPC is over 10 years old then you’ll need to have a new certificate. Your EPC will also give you a snapshot about the current levels of insulation and heating as well as the approximate energy costs and carbon footprint. Our qualified team will be able to talk you through the assessment and get it carried out swiftly to meet your needs.

Family reviewing home energy efficiency rating

Retrofit Assessments

Going one step further than the EPC, the Retrofit assessment takes a greater look at the situation in the property in more detail. If you’re looking to carry out energy efficiency improvements to your home, then the retrofit assessment is the place to start. Retrofit assessments are a key part of the PAS2035 process and will be mandatory within the ECO4 obligation.

The retrofit assessor will look at three key areas when visiting a property:

Modelling the energy usage of the building

Carrying out a condition report to identify any defects or issues with the property that my limit the performance of any improvements or need to be fixed prior to any work

Completing an Occupancy Assessment which looks at the actual energy bills of the property and how energy is used within.

Once the retrofit assessment has been completed, you’ll be much more informed and ready of what your options are for improvements and any issues that may need to be resolved prior to any work starting. Our team will be there to support you after your assessment has been completed so don’t worry if you have any questions!

Retrofit Coordinators

Retrofit Coordinators help tie the entire PAS2035 process together by managing the overall retrofit project at a property. They are responsible for overseeing and monitoring the reports produced by the Retrofit Assessor, Designer and Installer to ensure that the energy efficiency measures proposed are suitable and carried out correctly as per the specifications.

A retrofit coordinator will liaise with all parties involved in the project including tenants, building owners, assessors and installers.

Our Retrofit Coordinators are qualified and trained to the highest level to ensure provide an excellent service to all clients involved in the process.

PAS2035 Support Services

Using our combined decades of experience, we want to help support the industry throughout this transition so installers can feel confident in the work they do while ensuring the full PAS process is carried out correctly.

Working together with installers we help to ensure that an efficient PAS compliant process is implemented within the business and that it works correctly for every job being carried out. This in turn transitions into easy access to relevant schemes or ECO funding as every job is carried out properly with all documents filed in the right place in a way that works for the installer.

To find out more about how we can help your business get in touch via or our contact form or send us an email and a member of the team will be happy to discuss.

Don’t forget about our newly launched social media channels too. We’ll be providing regular updates and news about our services as well as sharing our thoughts on industry changes such as the new ECO4 obligation so make sure to follow and look out for more.
